Dr. Daniel is an international educator from the United States, recognized for his commitment to nurturing inclusive and inquiry-driven learning communities. With 30 years of experience in business, team management, and education, 12 of which were spent abroad, Dr. Daniel brings a wealth of expertise to his role.
As a globally minded educator, Dr. Daniel celebrates diversity and promotes understanding of different cultures and perspectives. He instills values of empathy, active service, and stewardship, encouraging students and staff to become responsible global citizens equipped with the skills to make a positive impact in the world. He prioritizes high-quality education that values inquiry-led, student-centered learning through the IB Continuum. Additionally, Dr. Daniel promotes mother-tongue learning and understands the significance of language acquisition in an international context.

Dr. Daniel continually strives to build relationships in the school communities he has led, grounded in ethical, collaborative, and servant leadership. His previous international experience includes positions at The American School of Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Casablanca American School (Morocco), Hangzhou International School (PR China), Harare International School (Zimbabwe), and Harbor Ridge Middle School (USA). Dr. Daniel also serves as a member of The Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA) Board, collaborating with and supporting schools worldwide.

● Dr. Daniel’s dedication to education is deeply rooted and influenced by his personal experience as a parent of three children, each of which successfully completed the IB Diploma Programme internationally. They went on to achieve bachelor’s and master’s degrees from prestigious U.S. institutions including UC Berkeley, St. Mary’s of Moraga, and UC Santa Barbara.
●Dr. Daniel is joined by his wife Julie Mullen, an experienced and respected university/college and social-emotional counselor, known for her personalized guidance and compassionate support. With expertise in college admissions in North America, the U.K., Europe, Australia, Africa, and Asia, she ensures students successfully navigate the complexities of higher education and personal growth.
