At Utahloy International School Guangzhou (UISG), we are dedicated to fostering strong relationships with our alumni. Recently, we invited three distinguished alumni back to our campus to engage with our DP1 and DP2 students. This event provided our current students with invaluable insights from those who have successfully navigated the path they are on.
On August 21st, our alumni—Justin Byun (Class of ’19), Isabel Veit (Class of ’23), and Emily Yang (Class of ’23)—shared their experiences and tips on excelling in the IB Diploma programme, applying to universities, and thriving in university life. Currently attending top universities, they offered practical advice and encouragement to our students.
Justin is studying Accounting & Finance at the University of Hong Kong, Isabel is pursuing Financial Mathematics and Global Studies at UCLA, and Emily is majoring in Psychology at the University of British Columbia. Their presentations were met with rapt attention and prompted insightful questions from our students.
