A Week Ahead: Celebrating Pi Day and Looking Forward to Our All-Parent Meeting
As we head into another exciting week, I want to take a moment to celebrate a special day that brings together math enthusiasts, bakers, and curious minds alike—Happy Pi Day! On March 14 (3/14), we honor the mathematical constant π (pi), a symbol of infinite possibilities and the beauty of discovery. Whether you’re solving equations, enjoying a slice of pie, or simply marveling at the wonders of mathematics, I hope you find joy in this unique celebration.
Looking ahead, I am thrilled to invite you to next week’s All Parent Meeting on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in the Admin Hall at 9:30 am. This is an invaluable opportunity for us to come together as a community, share updates on our school’s progress, and discuss the exciting initiatives on the horizon. Your partnership and engagement are essential to the success of our students, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts, answering your questions, and strengthening our collective commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience.

Happy Friday! What a busy 2 weeks it has been since the last Xiao Xi! So many things I’d like to celebrate this week:
- Congratulations to all those in the Spelling Bee, amazing effort with lots of practice going into the individual competition.
- Congratulations to the robotics teams who wowed everyone at the Vex competition a couple of weeks ago, especially our Primary team who won the Sportsmanship Award.
- Well done U9 & U11 Football teams for representing your school so well and having so much fun in sport in the process!
- Amazing work teachers, for all the learning during the professional development days, it’s fantastic to see new ideas in action around the school!
- UEF Family day was a delight, especially the colour run, thank you parents, students and teachers for running and throwing paint!
UPTA All Parents Meeting
Tuesday March 18th is the new date for the All Parents Meeting. We look forward to seeing many of you there!

星期五快乐！自上次发布消息以来，我们经历了忙碌的两周！这周我想庆祝的事情太多了：
- 祝贺拼写比赛的所有参赛者，他们在个人比赛中付出了不懈努力，也进行了许多练习。
- 祝贺几周前在 Vex 竞赛中让令人赞叹不已的机器人团队，尤其是我们的小学团队获得了体育道德风尚奖。
- U9 和 U11 足球队表现优异，你们出色地代表了学校，并在运动过程中享受了无穷乐趣！
- 老师们才华横溢，在专业发展日里收获满满，很开心能看到学校里的新想法被付诸实践！
- UEF 家庭日很愉快，尤其是彩色跑，感谢家长、学生和老师们的奔跑和抛洒颜料！

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you to all parents who were able to join us for the parent-teacher-student conferences (PTSCs) on Wednesday. The conversations between teachers, parents and students are a great opportunity to build a strong home-school partnership, and to collectively guide students and strengthen their engagement and development.
Year 10 Scholarships
We were honoured to have Ms. Dorothy, Chair of the UEF Foundation, present the Year 10 scholarships this week. The four students who received the scholarship each spoke of the skills they have developed in their time at UISG, their achievement aspirations whilst at the school, and their contributions to the UISG community. Although these scholarships are principally for Academic Excellence, we value and recognise the different skills and attributes that these students bring to the school. Congratulations to Emerson Yang, Isabella Wu, Allen Tan and Finn Li.
Scholarship information for next year will be presented to parents and students soon through the Admissions and Marketing team.
House STEM Competition
We had a very successful House STEM competition this week, with the Science and Design departments preparing engaging and enjoyable activities for the students: model car racing, catapult making, bridge building, marble run, paper tower construction and egg-drop competition. Student House Captains helped to lead their Houses in an excellent final assembly, with each House winning at least one of the Year level competitions.
Personal Project Exhibition
Year 10 students will be showcasing their Personal Projects in the ULC on Wednesday and Thursday next week, March 19-20. Parents are warmly invited to attend the opening on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30pm, and the exhibition will be open throughout the day on Thursday.

10年级奖学金
本周，我们非常荣幸地邀请到UEF基金会主席Dorothy女士为我们颁发10年级奖学金。获得奖学金的四名学生分别谈到了他们在UISG学习期间发展的技能，他们在学校的成就愿望，以及他们对UISG社区的贡献。虽然这些奖学金主要是为了学术卓越，但我们重视并认可这些学生为学校带来的不同技能和特性。Emerson Yang, Isabella Wu, Allen Tan 和 Finn Li。
明年的奖学金信息将很快通过招生和市场团队提供给家长和学生。
House STEM竞赛
