Spreading Joy at UISG: Celebrating the International Day of Happiness
At UISG, happiness comes in many forms—whether it’s a shared laugh with a friend, a kind gesture, or simply enjoying a sunny day. This week, our Primary took time to reflect on what happiness means to each of us as we celebrated the International Day of Happiness.
Students shared their thoughts in a special video interview, highlighting the little things that bring them joy. Some spoke about spending time with their families and friends, playing their favorite sports, learning new things or helping others. The beginning of the day started with activities like “Guess That Smile” game and a Smile Challenge, where students tried to spread happiness with something as simple as a smile.
Of course, happiness isn’t just for students—it’s for everyone in our school community. Teachers find joy when there is open communication and honesty and in seeing their students grow. Parents are happiest when they see their children excited to learn and forming meaningful friendships. Our school leaders take pride in creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels safe and supported.
A special thank you to Ms. Nina Ashkinadze for capturing and editing the student interviews, helping us see happiness through their eyes.
As we wrap up our Happiness Day, let’s remember that happiness is something we create together—one kind action, one thoughtful word, and one smile at a time.
