Swim Meet @UISG
游泳友谊赛
UISG hosted a swim meet on the 19th September with invited guests, Clifford International School (CIS) and Lady Eleanor Holles (LEH). The purpose was to introduce our swimmers to some early season competition and build stronger relationships with schools of a similar standard. The setting at the pool was amazing, the weather played its part and both objectives were achieved.
UISG got off to a flying start winning 8 of the first 10 races, highlighting our strength in the Individual Medley and Butterfly events. This was backed up by consistent wins throughout the meet in the Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle events, allowing for a return of 29 wins from 49 races. This included 5 victories in the 8 Medley and Freestyle relay events, to complete a fine afternoon in the pool, highlighting an overall improvement in the swim program at our school. This is down to a dedicated approach from our swimmers, coaches and parents.

It was a fantastic team effort and great to see our swimmers supporting each other in the various races. It was also pleasing to see some students competing in a swimming gala for the first time, whilst others challenged themselves in new events. Everyone performed well and there were some outstanding individual performances. The following swimmers recorded 1st places in their respective heats:
4 wins – Justin Kuo
3 wins – Carina Zhang, Michael Jia
2 wins – Esther Zhang, Karin Okumura, Alaina Wang
1 win – Mikayla Verb, Frank Whiston, Samuel Whiston, Kieran MacLachlan, JongHo Lee, Elsa Hou, Zack Hsiao, Nano Tanaka
Thank you to everyone who helped make the gala a huge success. Mr Ryan and the Athletics department, the facilities team, the teachers and admin staff, the swim coaches, the lifeguards and ayis, the parents who came out to support, CIS and LEH, and lastly, to our wonderful swimmers, who performed so well.

9月19日，广州誉德莱外籍人员子女学校邀请祈福英语实验学校（CIS）和佛山市霍利斯外籍人员子女学校（LEH）共同举办游泳友谊赛。本次赛事旨在让游泳队队员提前感受比赛氛围，并与水平相当的学校建立更紧密的联系。泳池环境优美，天气宜人，两项目标均圆满达成。
UISG代表队旗开得胜，前10项比赛中斩获8项冠军，这充分展现了我们在个人混合泳和蝶泳项目的优势。在后续比赛中，仰泳、蛙泳和自由泳项目也捷报频传，最终在49个比赛项目中累计获得29项胜利，其中包括8项混合泳与自由泳接力赛中的5项冠军。这场精彩纷呈的泳池盛宴彰显了我校游泳项目的整体提升，这离不开队员们、教练团队与家长们的全心投入。

此次比赛展现了卓越的团队精神，队员们在不同赛事中相互鼓励的场景令人动容。更值得欣喜的是，部分学生首次参与游泳竞技，亦有队员挑战全新项目。所有选手均表现出色，其中更涌现出许多亮眼的个人表现。以下学员在各自小组赛中勇夺第一：
