In the jubilant Year of the Horse, joy and blessings fill the air. On the afternoon of February 11, 2026, as the Spring Festival of the Horse Year approached, Secondary Division of UISG was brimming with warmth and delight. A spectacular Spring Festival celebration unfolded as scheduled, bringing together teachers, students, and parents. Through vibrant songs and dances fueled by passion, they embraced an audiovisual feast of youthful vitality and diverse cultural flavors, all in anticipation of the promising Year of the Horse.
The celebration opened with thunderous drumbeats that electrified the atmosphere. Dressed in exquisite traditional Chinese attire, students took the stage like spirited warriors, delivering a powerful performance on Chinese drums. The resounding rhythm heralded the arrival of the Horse Year, igniting the energy of the entire venue.

A medley of songs followed, flowing seamlessly with rich variations in style. The students’ clear and melodious voices carried the beauty of each tune with heartfelt grace.

Then came the elegant ballet variations. Dancers floated across the stage like butterflies, their pointe work capturing the grace and agility of classical ballet. Every turn and leap spoke of discipline and devotion, expressing the profound artistry of dance.

As youthful energy took center stage, songs and dances celebrated the new year. A band performance of Another Self captivated the audience with its electrifying electric sound. The lead singer’s soulful delivery, paired with the band’s seamless chemistry, captured the passion and courage of young hearts breaking free and chasing their dreams.

The group dance Bang Bang Bang & YMCA burst with vibrancy. Radiating bright smiles and moving to infectious beats, the dancers exuded the boldness and freedom of youth, their high-energy performance drawing everyone in.

A rich tapestry of dance styles added unique colors to the celebration. The classic Japanese dance Lucky Cookie / Sailor Moon was full of playful charm, with students in colorful costumes delivering whimsical moves that drew waves of applause. The Korean fan dance, elegant and refined, unfolded like a moving painting—each opening and closing of the fan evoking classical beauty and poetic tranquility. Meanwhile, the K-pop dance So Pretty brought dynamic flair to the stage. With youthful moves and flawless synchronization, the performers showcased the upbeat spirit of Korean pop, energizing the crowd.

Beyond the upbeat rhythms, lyrical and graceful moments soothed the heart and carried quiet wishes. The students’ rendition of Gaqi Gaqi was lighthearted and catchy, with innocent voices and playful gestures spreading pure joy. A string quintet performed Heyi Ge, weaving delicate, lingering melodies like a stream gently flowing through the soul. A trio’s heartfelt delivery of Eyes, Nose, Lips blended tenderness and emotion. Then came the choir’s spirited performance of Red Sun —a powerful anthem of youthful courage, subtle sentiments, and heartfelt blessings for the Horse Year.

The celebration culminated in a majestic golden dragon dance, co-performed by students and teachers. As the dragon soared and twirled, it carried wishes for a smooth, peaceful, and joyful year ahead, while showcasing the timeless allure of traditional Chinese culture.

The entire celebration was a tapestry of warmth and excitement. Every performance reflected the students’ dedication and effort; every round of applause echoed the appreciation and admiration of the audience. Cultures merged and dialogues unfolded, as youthful spirit and festive joy flowed freely through the hall.

As we gallop into a new chapter of the Horse Year, blessed with abundant fortune, this Spring Festival celebration at the Secondary Division of UISG not only brought joy and emotion to its community, but also conveyed the strength of inclusivity and the courage to move forward. May every passion shine bright, and every hope come to fruition. Wishing you all prosperity in the Year of the Horse, success in every endeavor, everlasting joy, and well-being throughout the year!
