Last Friday we had the pleasure of hosting the Read Write Inc (RWI) Part 1 workshop for parents in the Hub. Ms Dilek, the RWI reading leader, shared what phonics is and explained how RWI works at UISG. During the workshop the parents had the opportunity to practice some skills with each other and ask questions regarding the RWI programs. It was great to see wonderful discussions and interactions taking place.
It was apparent that parents are keen to learn and develop their understanding of phonics and reading process so that they can help their children at home. If you are one of those, please join Ms Dilek’s weekly RWI session on Wednesdays 10:30-11:30 for 4 weeks. Here are the dates: April 19th, April 26th, May 3rd and May 10th. Please book your place through the sign up communication sent through Seesaw and ManageBac.
In each session Ms Dilek will teach the parents RWI lesson where they will have a chance to learn and practice various skills. Each session is limited to a maximum of 20 people.
