Chantelle Parsons
UISG Head of Primary
Chantelle is an international educator from the UK who specializes in innovative, student-focused teaching. With over 10 years of experience at International Baccalaureate (IB) schools, she has worked in the UK, Ukraine, and China and delivered workshops throughout Asia. Chantelle is passionate about enhancing student voice and agency. She achieves this by pioneering educational practices and mentoring fellow educators to embrace new ideas and confidently decentralize decision-making to empower learners.
She is highly collaborative and loves creating links within and beyond the school community. She led and developed the North China Network for IB schools, creating a supportive group that arranged professional development events and job-a-likes for sharing best practices across schools. Chantelle enjoys parent workshops and discussions where they can explore educational philosophies and processes.
Chantelle joined the UISG family with her husband, Adam, who works in digital finance, and their Beijing rescue dog, JoJo. After 8 years in the north of China, they are looking forward to exploring the south and experiencing all that Guangzhou and the surrounding area has to offer.
