Welcome Message from Dr. Daniel Mullen, Head of School at UISG

Dear UISG Community,

 

As we welcome our new and returning UISG families to the new academic year, I am continually inspired by the legacy we uphold. For over 28 years, UISG has pioneered international education in Guangzhou as the city’s first IB World School. It is a privilege to lead a community with such a profound commitment to excellence.

 

The essence of UISG lies in the powerful synergy between our challenging IB curriculum and our deeply supportive community. In every classroom, on every field, and through every collaborative project, we see students engaging with ideas that matter—developing not only academic mastery but also the character and resilience to thrive as global citizens.

 

As Head of School and Superintendent of Utahloy International Schools, my focus remains on strengthening the educational experience for every student at UISG and UISZ. This year, we will continue to enhance our academic and co-curricular offerings, ensuring they remain robust, relevant, and reflective of our values. Above all, we will protect and nurture the inclusive culture at the heart of UISG—a place where each child is recognized, empowered, and encouraged to grow.
