On December 5, 2024, we had the distinct honor of attending the South China Gala hosted by CCI FRANCE CHINE at the Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou. This prestigious event was a dual celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and France and a significant showcase of cross-cultural collaboration and synergy.
From December 9th to 13th, UISG warmly welcomed families to our enchanting Christmas Cooking Class held in the campus canteen. This delightful event was designed not only for our students but also for parents eager to join in the festive spirit!
The Year 7 Theatre students performed their ‘Reader’s Theatre’ of Tom Stoppard’s ‘Half Hour Hamlet.’ The Grade 7 students having explored the different ways to improve their creative processes through improvisation and mime (body awareness) now learn the structures and practices to help them perform comedic roles in a scripted Drama play.
On a magical Saturday evening at the Four Seasons Hotel in Guangzhou, Utahloy International School Guangzhou (UISG) proudly participated in the British Chamber of Commerce in China’s Christmas Gala 2024. As a diamond sponsor of this prestigious event, UISG showcased its commitment to fostering international relationships and celebrating cultural exchanges.
We are excited to announce another such event for our UISG community. This upcoming info session is dedicated to Japanese students interested in pursuing higher education back in Japan.
On the enchanting evening of December 5th, 2024, the UISG Primary Choir took center stage at the prestigious Hilton Hotel Baiyun(万富希尔顿), captivating the audience with their melodious voices and festive spirit. Under the expert guidance of conductors Mr. Ian and Ms. Jessie, our talented young singers from Year 1 to Year 5 delivered a performance that will be remembered for years to come.
Last Saturday, we all witnessed a dazzling event on the UISG campus—the International Festival of Lights (IFOL). As the clock struck 2 PM, our “Luminous Reflections” officially began, and the campus was illuminated by the radiance of art until 7 PM.
As the students have crossed over from primary to secondary school, the first design unit has appropriately been about bridges! Students have completed their first round of the design cycle and researched purpose, function and engineering principles to be considered when building bridges.
As we approach our last week of school before the winter break, I’m excited to share the activities we have planned to celebrate the season and wrap up the semester.
