Friday 7 June 2024 marked one week left in the 2023 – 2024 Academic year, it also marked the Year 7 End of school Field Trip. The Class of 2029 celebrated the closing of their first year in the UISG Secondary School by attending the premiere of the new film.
During a recent educational excursion to the Guangzhou Laboratory, students had the unique opportunity to visit the Winston Chan Stem Culture Lab. The visit proved to be an enriching experience, offering hands-on exposure to cutting-edge techniques in molecular biology and cell culture.
As part of their “Sharing the Planet” unit, Year 3 students have been learning about natural resources, the impact of human choices on the environment, and what we can do as responsible care takers of the Earth.
In their latest unit of inquiry, the year 2 students are expanding their knowledge through inquiry and exploration. One way to do this is by looking at evidence from the past.

Y5 recently went on a trip to the South China Botanic Gardens In Guangzhou in connection with their Sharing the planet unit “ biodiversity relies on maintaining the interdependent balance of organisms within systems”.
On January 18 We went to the AIO (Art Institute of the Orient) in Shamian Island. We had experience of seeing how Shamian Island had changed since migrants came into China to do business, hundreds of years ago. Whilst we were learning we also had fun activities to do.
Last week the Year 3 students took a short trip down the road to visit Brew Heart Coffee shop, where most of the staff employed are visually impaired.
