Last Thursday 6 June, the final DP Music Recital of the 2023-2024 academic year took place in the Admin Hall. Falling during the Year 10 DP Transition Week, it was the perfect opportunity for the Class of 2026 to attend a concert and be represented on stage by their Year 10 classmates who have shown interest in joining the DP Music programme next year.
Instrument Tuition Programme (ITP) students were provided with a performance opportunity and many took up the challenge, courageously taking to the Admin Hall stage to perform solos, duets and small group items over two lunchtime concerts this past week.
During the academic year, third-grade students had the opportunity to delve into the wonders of the longest river in the Czech Republic by immersing themselves in the musical composition “Moldau” by Bedrich Smetana.
The exhibition features artwork by Y7I students from two units. The first unit focused on creating illusions and depth in artwork. Students learned to use the techniques of perspective and shading to create a sense of three-dimensionality.
During a recent educational excursion to the Guangzhou Laboratory, students had the unique opportunity to visit the Winston Chan Stem Culture Lab. The visit proved to be an enriching experience, offering hands-on exposure to cutting-edge techniques in molecular biology and cell culture.
Our visit to the Neurobiology Department at Shenzhen Bay Lab proved to be a fascinating journey into the realm of gene therapy and advanced research techniques.
Our students and teacher are cordially invited to join Forum on Children’s Day on 1st June, holding by GICC supervised by Foreign Affairs Office of People’s Government of Guangzhou, they did great performance that day, and the parents and Ms. Sharon Lun also supported us during the event.
Last Friday, the captivating musical “Somewhere over the rainbow” was performed by students of K-Y2 at UISG’s MFH, drawing the audience’s attention with its enchanting rendition.
In this last unit of the school year, Visual Arts students exhibited their creative and artistic response to the statement ‘Visual imageries help evolve the innovation and aesthetics across time, space, and culture.”
Early Years K and K1 Sprinkler Dance PartyWhen the temperatures really started to soar, the wolf cubs dashed through the cool spray of the sprinkler, giggling and dancing as they felt the refreshing water. The Water play kept the wolf cubs’ class cool, calm, and collected, even on the hottest summer days !
