Early Years K and K1 Sprinkler Dance PartyWhen the temperatures really started to soar, the wolf cubs dashed through the cool spray of the sprinkler, giggling and dancing as they felt the refreshing water. The Water play kept the wolf cubs’ class cool, calm, and collected, even on the hottest summer days !
In April, the Year 6 Utahloy Action Committee (UAC) students took a heartwarming initiative to support children battling cancer. Through their dedicated efforts, the students organized an ice-cream sale and successfully raised 2880RMB for the Gold Ribbon Special Children Parent Centre, an organization that provides crucial support to children fighting cancer.
UISG K2 students have been eagerly learning about the five senses and their role in understanding the world around us. They choose one sense to present to their Early Years (EY) friends to celebrate their newfound knowledge.
This week the Year 10 physical education classes planned and ran a Sports Day for our Early Years Wolf Cubs. The key idea of their current unit is to build positive relationships and demonstrate social responsibility in a school community.
Our early childhood classroom had the pleasure of welcoming our school chef, who undertook a special mission to spread the love for food among our little ones. By paying a delightful visit to our K, K1, and K2 classes, the chef embarked on a creative effort to engage our children in an activity that not only delighted their taste buds but also nurtured essential life skills.
As we embrace the arrival of the new season, our early years recently received a special delivery of orange pumpkins. The sweet aroma of pumpkin has filled our classrooms and playgrounds.
Join us in nursery trial class designed for toddlers aged 18-24 months! These classes will be in English and are designed for parents to attend. Our potential ‘Wolf Cubs’ will come to campus and experience the new programme through our purpose-designed facilities.
Our K1 children were very excited to share what we have learned during our Unit of Inquiry: How We Express Ourselves. The central Idea was: People learn and express themselves through play.
During the weekend a group dedicated UISG Early Years teachers attended the Associate of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS) ECE Conference hosted by Concordia Shanghai. This year’s overarching theme of the Whole Child included holistic education and skill development in early childhood education which we know play a huge role in children’s lives. Sessions included a wide range of topics from building children’s social emotional well-being, to play based learning, creating an environment that honors children, and much more.
