Camp | Y11-12 Extracurriculars for Left Behind Children (Apr 2023)
Despite its lack of popularity amongst students, the Left Behind Children Extracurriculars camps for Year 11s and 12s ended in a huge success both for our students and the children – with its unexpectedly amusing activities
Camp Reflections | Y9-10 Clean Water for All (Apr 2023)
The camp, which was located from March 22nd to 24th as Option 2 (clean water for all), gave us a wonderful memory that keeps being recalled in our minds again and again like a daydream. It was totally a satisfying and healing camp, as we could refresh ourselves from those academic and social pressures of the past few days.
Camp Reflections | Y7-Y8 Endangered Species (Mar 2023)
Our camp was very interesting and inspiring. We went to Wanlv Lake located in Heyuan, China. The staff and the activities taught me and other students about climate change & endangered species a lot. First off, the facilities and the hotel were much better than we expected
Hopeful Hearts GZ Marathon (23 April 2023)
Our good friends at Hopeful Hearts Guangzhou are taking part in a Virtual London Marathon on 23 April. If you fancy a run around the city for a good cause, followed by celebratory drinks, please see the poster and WeChat contacts for details.
Where we are in Place and Time – Y4 Field Trip
It was all smiles after the Year 4 students’ exciting and meaningful field trip to Stone Mineral Park! Our current unit of inquiry explores Earth’s geography and landforms and how Earth’s changes affect human interactions and settlement.
Ramsmun (Mar 2023)
The UISG MUN students participated in the RAMSMUN conference 2023 from 17th to 19th March 2023. This year the theme was ‘Pioneering New Beginnings’. Our year 10 students, ChaeWon, Jugyeong, JaeYong, DaeHyun, Yu King, Rui Hai, GyungHyun, BoMi and Anna, participated as delegates representing different countries. Our year 10 student, YoonSoo, was appointed the Chair of the conference.
Secondary MYP Theatre Performance (Mar 2023)
The Semester 2 Year 8 Theatre classes are completing their first unit, exploring the genre of ‘tableau vivant’. Last week saw them take to the stage to present their ‘living pictures’.
