Utahloy International School Guangzhou proudly secured the third position in the highly prestigious National Spelling Bee Teams Competition held in Beijing. The exceptional spellers from UISG showcased their remarkable linguistic skills, demonstrating their unwavering dedication and commitment to academic excellence.
Primary students embarked on an exciting educational trip to the renowned Apple Store this Wednesday and Thursday. This captivating experience allowed our young learners to delve into the realm of creativity and innovation like never before.
Cyanotype is an old photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print, demonstrating boundless artistic possibilities. Mr. Wil Kopernikus, a German artist, was invited for a sharing and to teach Y3-Y6 summer school students to create their own cyanotype prints. During the workshop, Mr. Wil taught the children the basic skill and knowledge of cyanotype and guided them through the process to print.
A special congratulations to our excellent students who did a great job in the SPBCN City Final Competition. Out of over 60 students from around Guangzhou, UISG’s Evelyn (Y7） came out on top as the champion of the entire competition in the middle school category! Bokai (Y6) and Evie (Y1) both finished with 3rd place trophies for their age groups.

K-Y2 students brought us a wonderful musical production ‘Child of the World’ this afternoon. In order to explore the Children of the World, young actors follow the story characters Leo and Ana to different countries, showing the audiences the unique musical culture unique to different countries.
In the Primary Assembly this week we celebrated International World Art Day by bringing art, music and dance forms together. World Art Day, is a celebration to promote the development, diffusion and enjoyment of art.
The Year 5 students enjoyed a 4-day camp at Zhaoqing from 28 – 31 March. The first night was spent at Dinghu Park surrounded by beautiful mountains. On the first afternoon, the students enjoyed exploring Xinghu Lake Wetland Park where they observed various bird species, learnt about karst mountains and walked through Qixing Cave.
This week K1 classes went on their first field trip! It was the first time participating in an out of school experience for most of the Wolf Cubs and they were so excited.
