Class of 2026
The results are in, and the Class of 2026 at UISG has set a new benchmark for academic excellence. In an impressive display of hard work and resilience, five students have not only achieved outstanding scores in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme but have all also earned the prestigious Bilingual Diploma — demonstrating mastery in four different languages: Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and French.
Outstanding Graduates

Leading the cohort is our valedictorian, who achieved a perfect score of 45 points. Joining UISG at the end of Grade 8 with no prior schooling in English, his journey is one of remarkable linguistic and academic dedication. He holds offers from a host of top-tier global universities, including Imperial College London and Tohoku University in Japan. His admission to the highly competitive IMAC program at Tohoku University — a track that admits only four Japanese returnee students worldwide — alongside his Imperial offer for aerospace engineering, speaks to the world-class faculty at UISG alongside the rigor fostered by the IB system.

Hot on his heels is Toby, who secured a stellar 44 points and a bilingual diploma in English and Chinese. A long-time member of the UISG community since K3, Toby has earned a coveted spot at the NYU Stern School of Business, accompanied by a full-ride scholarship for his four years of study. This achievement, along with multiple offers from universities in Hong Kong, Canada, and the US, highlights his standing as a top business prospect.

InBeom (Eddy) achieved 42 points and a bilingual diploma in English and Korean. Returning to UISG in Grade 9, Eddy balanced his academics with leadership roles as a leader of TEDx Youth, MUN, and the socially conscious Utahfresh club. His commitment to service and business acumen have earned him an offer from the HKU Business School.

The cohort also celebrates Gabrielle and EuijJin (Owen), achieving 41 points. Gabrielle, who joined UISG in Grade 10 as an EAL student with no prior English language schooling, demonstrates remarkable resilience. Much like the valedictorian, she joined UISG later in her schooling with limited English, and her success is further testament to the strength of our EAL programs. She credits her achievements to the support of the unmatched UISG community – both faculty and classmates – and will be attending McGill University. Owen, who joined in Grade 9, also earned the bilingual distinction in English and Korean. He has secured offers from a distinguished roster of institutions, including the University of St Andrews and Durham University for Biochemistry, the University of Sydney and Monash University for Pharmacy, and the University of Hong Kong for a Bachelor of Science.
Congratulations!
Class of 2026
All five students earned the Bilingual Diploma in English alongside their respective mother tongues — Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and French — a distinction that reflects not only linguistic dexterity, but the intellectual depth required by the IB’s demanding curriculum. Their achievements are no accident; they are the direct result of a programme that pushes students to think critically, write analytically, and engage globally, all while being supported by our world-class faculty who bring expertise, passion, and personalized guidance to every classroom. Equally vital is our commitment to mother tongue development — because at UISG we believe that mastery of one’s home language strengthens cognitive rigor and cultural identity, giving our students an edge on the world stage. This is the UISG difference: a rigorous IB framework, unparalleled language support, and educators who go above and beyond to unlock each student’s potential.

Today, we celebrate not just these five extraordinary individuals, but the entire community — parents, teachers, and peers — who helped them soar. Their journeys remind us that with the right support, there are no limits to what our students can achieve.
If this inspires you to imagine your own child walking across that same stage, we warmly invite you to reach out. Come see UISG for yourself — where every student’s story can become one of excellence, pride, and boundless possibility.
