Since its establishment in September 2023, Guangzhou Bayer 04 Leverkusen Football Academy has been a benchmark for cultivating outstanding football talents and young athletes. Initially, the academy only offered training sessions once a week. With the increasing demand, the academy rapidly expanded its course schedule and now provides four training sessions per week (in partnership with Utahloy International School Guangzhou, with plans to continue increasing the number of courses to better meet the needs of students. The expansion of course offerings reflects both the success of the program and the enthusiasm for football within the local community.

Guangzhou Bayer 04 Leverkusen Football Academy initially had only one training field, but with the growing demand, it has rapidly expanded its scale and now boasts three training fields in Guangzhou, providing convenience for young football enthusiasts from different areas. With over 80 academy members and 10 UEFA-licensed coaches, the academy has become the fastest-growing football program in Guangzhou, attracting numerous teenagers eager to improve their football skills under the guidance of professional coaches. These coaches, deeply influenced by the elite training philosophy of Bayer 04 Leverkusen, regularly hold “Healthy Weekend Workshops.”

Establishing an exciting partnership with Utahloy International School Guangzhou (UISG) in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, marks another milestone for the academy. In this collaboration, the academy has begun to integrate into the academic environment and provide professional training courses within the school, allowing students to balance their academics and passion for football in excellent sports facilities. Additionally, the academy has partnered with AMA Pre-School to launch exciting summer camp programs, providing engaging introductory football courses for children in a fun and supportive environment.

Apart from the colorful activities, the academy also hosts the monthly Funino Football Festival, which has quickly received praise from players and spectators. Funino is a small competition aimed at encouraging creativity, teamwork, and joy, perfectly aligning with the philosophy of youth football development. Last week’s football festival was a resounding success, bringing together four clubs for a day-long friendly match filled with laughter, camaraderie, and skill exchanges. The event not only showcased the talents of young players but also fostered friendships among local clubs. In addition to the Funino Football Festival, the academy also regularly holds friendly matches with other clubs, providing valuable game experience for players while cultivating their sporting spirit and community spirit.
