▲ On May 26th, the 2nd “Canton Cup” Youth Chinese Debate Competition, organized by Speak&Lead and the Youth Debate League, with the venue sponsored by our school, concluded successfully. This event gathered students from over 40 primary and secondary schools across the region, marking a significant event in the Greater Bay Area.
▲ The competition commenced with a captivating opening ceremony featuring traditional Chinese elements, including face-changing and dual dance performances by our students. And representatives from our school and the organizers delivered inspiring speeches.
▲ Starting from 9 am, the event continued until 8 pm, with over 100 debate matches taking place throughout the day.
▼ We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the students from our school who actively participated in this competition. Congratulations to Ethan and Lok Yau who were named Outstanding Debaters from primary school group, and to Jing Fei who won the third place in secondary school group.
This debate competition provided a platform for students to showcase their debate skills, critical thinking abilities, and teamwork. It also served as an excellent opportunity for them to learn from their peers and further develop their language proficiency and public speaking skills.
We look forward to more such events in the future, where students can continue to excel, learn, and grow together in the spirit of healthy competition and mutual respect.
