During the academic year, third-grade students had the opportunity to delve into the wonders of the longest river in the Czech Republic by immersing themselves in the musical composition “Moldau” by Bedrich Smetana.
Engaging in various activities, the students took on different roles such as a rafter, a gold prospector in the river, and even embodying the essence of a flowing stream. By associating these roles with distinct sounds, the students not only enjoyed the process but also grasped the structural form of the piece “Moldau.” This musical composition vividly portrays a journey along the river, encountering river fairies, a countryside wedding, and hunters in the forest, culminating in the river reaching the capital of Prague and flowing past the majestic Prague Castle. Moreover, the students participated in a musical domino activity, connecting different segments of the piece and accurately repeating the main theme in the correct sequence. The culmination of their efforts was a grand performance by all third-grade students, which took place at the Admin Hall at UISG on Friday, 31st May.Congratulations to all the talented third-grade students for their outstanding achievement! Well done !
