On Wednesday January 8th, Louis Grist, 3rd year product design student at Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam, Netherlands visited the UISG Design Technology classroom to share his portfolio, experience, advice, inspiration and laughs with DP students studying Design.

Students were excited to meet and hear from Louis who successfully completed the rigorous IB DP with top marks in Design Technology. In addition to sharing his portfolio, Louis also showed his DT Internal Assessment, describing challenges he faced and how he overcame them with resilience and creativity. 

Students had the chance to ask questions and receive practical and specific advice for finding their own path as designers.  

Up next for Y9 – Y12 design students will be a chance to meet and talk with a representative of Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, the #1 Art and Design school in Australia, on February 20th at 1:20pm; organized by university counselor Yein Oh.
