Primary House Swimming Gala: Pandas, Warriors, Tigers, and Dragons Compete for Glory!
The annual Primary House Swimming Gala took place on Thursday 19th September, and what an exhilarating event it was! With our spirited houses—Pandas, Warriors, Tigers, and Dragons competing to be crowned the gala champions, the atmosphere was filled with anticipation and excitement.
Our primary students were eager to show off their swimming skills developed in PE lessons since the start of the year. First to swim was our Years 2 and 3 students, students swam with great enthusiasm and effort throughout the various events while being cheered on by their housemates. After many exciting races, the mighty Tigers emerged victorious with 1,050 points, followed by Pandas 940 points, Warriors with 910 points and finally Dragons with 820 points.
Next up was our upper primary students from Years 4 and 5. Some incredible swimming skills were on display from this group. With events including, freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly. There was plenty of excitement and cheering with several races finishing within a few seconds of each other. Eventually the fierce warriors prevailed with 950 points, followed by Pandas 940 points, Tigers 860 points and Dragons 890 points.
Well done to all the students who took part in this year’s Swim Gala, and congratulations to the winning houses from lower and upper primary. The overall winner for the 2024 Primary Swim Gala with 1910 points were the Tigers, followed by the Pandas with 1880 points, the Warriors with 1860 points and the Dragons with 1710 points.
