Once again, the Languages team hosted a special assembly in primary school. The Mother Tongue Assembly, a cherished tradition at UISG, is an integral part of our IB-inspired educational approach. Students from Year 1 to Year 5 gathered to celebrate the richness and beauty of their native languages, creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere.
Led by both teachers and students, the assembly was vibrant, featuring a variety of engaging activities. From traditional children’s games to cooking demonstrations and arts and crafts, students had the opportunity to share and experience different cultural practices. These activities not only highlighted the uniqueness of each language but also allowed students to connect through shared experiences.
At UISG, we are dedicated to showcasing the many languages spoken within our community. This time, we proudly featured English, Hindi, German, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese, reflecting the rich diversity of our school.
The Mother Tongue Assembly is more than just a celebration of linguistic diversity; it fosters a deep sense of belonging. Every language spoken on campus is a valued part of our school’s identity. By honoring these languages, we empower our students to embrace their cultural heritage while engaging with the global community around them, helping to build a more inclusive world.
With kind regards
