Dear UISG Community,
As we approach the end of another vibrant week at UISG, I want to take a moment to reflect on some important milestones and exciting events ahead.
Today marks the last day of classes for our Year 12 students as they transition into their IB exam period, which begins next week. This is a significant moment in their academic journey, and I encourage everyone in our community to wish them strength, focus, and confidence as they prepare for this important chapter. To our Year 12s—we are incredibly proud of your hard work and resilience, and we know you will rise to the challenge ahead.
Looking to the week to come, we have another busy and engaging schedule lined up:
• Book Week kicks off, celebrating the joy of reading with special activities across the school.
• On Thursday, we welcome a special author visit, offering students a unique opportunity to connect with literature and storytelling.
• Friday morning brings our PHE Parent Coffee, a chance to learn more about our physical health and education programs.
• Finally, the week wraps up with the Middle School Dance on Friday evening—an event sure to be filled with fun and energy!
I’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents who joined us this week for the visiting artist workshops and the Early Years Sports Day. Seeing so many of you actively participating in these events truly highlights the strength and spirit of our community. Your involvement makes a meaningful difference in our students’ experiences.
As always, I am grateful for your continued support and collaboration. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend ahead, and let’s make next week another great one at UISG!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
This week was the kind of week that makes me feel so proud, grateful and humbled to be a Head of Secondary. An amazing array of diverse activities took place, and all with students standing out as incredible IB learners. Here are some highlights:
Visiting Artists
Two artists worked the whole week with groups of students, from across the school, developing their understanding and practice of two distinct artistic style. This fantastic opportunity was created by the visual arts team here at UISG, so big thanks to them.
Rockfest
All week different rock bands have been filling the atrium with their music. This informal setting is the perfect venue for students to showcase the outcome of their weeks of practicing and share their music with their peers.
TED-X
On Tuesday, one teacher and six student speakers from Years 7, 9 and 11 shared their thoughts and perspectives on “Digital Liberation”. It is a daunting task to give a TED talk, and yet these participants all spoke impressively and eloquently about the perils, pitfalls, and also plus points of screentime, social media, digital detox and cyber bullying.
Year 12 Final Assembly
Friday saw the final assembly for Year 12 students. There were performances, reminiscences and videos of the Year 12s time at school. For four of the students this really is the end of an era for them, as they have been Wolves since Early Years. Year 12 students now have a week of study leave before their Diploma exams start. We wish them all the best for these exams.

来访的艺术家

TED-X
周二，一位老师和6名来自7年级、9年级和11年级的学生演讲者分享了他们对“数字解放”的看法和观点。做一个TED演讲是一项艰巨的任务，然而这些参与者都令人印象深刻，雄辩地讲述了屏幕时间、社交媒体、数字排毒和网络欺凌的危险、陷阱和加分点。
12年级告别仪式
周五是12年级学生的最后一次集会。现场有表演、回忆和录像，展示了12年级学生在学校的时光。对于其中四名学生来说，这真的是他们一个时代的结束，因为他们从幼儿园就在UISG就读。现在12年级学生在DP考试开始前有一周的在家自习。我们祝愿他们考试一切顺利。
