Dear Early Years Families,
General Information:
The Wolf Cubs joined their house teams, Pandas, Warriors, Tigers, Dragons to have a super fun Sports Day. Big thank you to all the families who came to cheer on the children, we have a great turnout! Another big thank you to the PE teachers, the Y10 students, and the Y4 students for organizing and supporting the event. Go Wolves!
Next week we have a national holiday in the middle of the week, so remember, no school on Wednesday.
Student-Led Conferences (SLC) are a few weeks away. Teacher have communicated your specific times with you already. Please mark your calendars, so you do not miss this wonderful learning opportunity. SLCs are a great way to understand your child’s learning and see exactly what they are capable of in the classroom and specialist subjects. More information will come leading up to the event on 15 May.

Dear Primary Families,
On Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th April, Ms Chantelle Parsons our incoming Head of Primary will be on campus as part of the transition process. Chantelle will be meeting with students, teachers and the Primary Leadership Team to ensure a smooth transition to the 2024-2025 academic year. Ms Parsons will be at Gate A during dismissal to say hello.
Well Done Year 5 and Year 6 students on a Spectacular Musical Production! Congratulations to the students for their hard work and creativity in showcasing their musical talents as well as their skills in running a production.
Year 1 to Year 4 parents should have received your personal Student-Led Conference time from your homeroom teacher. We look forward to seeing parents and students at school on the 15th May during the designated time. Wearing UISG uniform is optional for the conferences.
Please note that there is no school on Wednesday May 1st due to May Day holiday.
The Year 2 students will be going on a field trip to the Space and Innovation Center in the morning of Thursday 2nd May. The purpose of this trip is to look at models of spaceships and satellites as well as learning to fly drones, present the weather and take a VR trip to the moon. This field trip will be a learning experience as part of their unit of inquiry into space and space exploration.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
We had a few “firsts” this week – the first ever Careers Fair; the first UCAE Art exhibition; and the first IB DP exam for this exam session. Over the next 3 weeks our Year 12 students complete all their DP exams, and our best wishes and support is with them as they put into practice the learning they have been doing over the last days, weeks and months.
There has been a concerted effort this year to bring student voice and action to the fore, and it has been great to see the House Captains, the Student Council and the Utahloy Service Committee all working to present the student voice. This week, the House Captains ran a successful House bonding activity, and in a couple of weeks’ time the Student Council will be running their Spirit Week. The school is a more vibrant place when the students take charge, and it has been very rewarding to see the development of these student groups this year.
