2025 Primary Sports Day

On the cool morning of 19 November 2025, a fresh breeze swept across the UISG campus, but nothing could cool the warm excitement building for Primary Sports Day. Under pale sunlight that broke through the clouds, students, teachers, and families gathered, embracing the theme “RUN, JUMP, PLAY AND SHINE” with spirited determination.

Sports Day Opening

The day began in the Multi-function Hall, where the vibrant parade of our four houses—Warriors, Pandas, Tigers, and Dragons—brought energy to the spacious venue. The opening ceremony featured an inspiring speech from Primary Principal Ms. Chantelle Parsons, followed by the recitation of the Oath of Sportsmanship. Selected primary students then led a dynamic morning exercise that warmed up both bodies and spirits, ready to face the cool outdoor conditions.

During the games, our younger students in Grades 1-3 demonstrated remarkable energy in the Bouncy Ball races and Noodle Race, their cheerful laughter cutting through the chilly air. The Water Balloon Relay and Stilt Race further showcased their determination, with each splash and step bringing more excitement to the cool morning.

Meanwhile, older students in Grades 4-5 displayed impressive skill and teamwork in the Plank Race, Run Mat, and the thrilling Swamp Ball tournament. The supportive cheers from house members created an atmosphere of friendly rivalry that warmed the fresh air and strengthened our school bonds.

The community games brought together parents, teachers, and students in a wonderful display of connection that defied the cool weather. The Water Balloon Toss and Tug-of-War competition demonstrated the strong spirit of cooperation that characterizes our UISG community, with every participant shining brightly despite the chilly conditions.

The smooth execution of the event was made possible by our dedicated Grade 9 students, whose work to organize, and facilitate the games formed both an integral part of their PHE Coaching and Sports Management unit and their Service as Action commitment. Their leadership and commitment were evident in every aspect of the day, from setting up stations to guiding younger participants with encouragement and care.

As the event concluded with the awards ceremony back in the MFH, the true achievement was evident in every glowing face. For our Grade 1-3 students, the focus was on the joy of participation and personal achievement in every activity. In the competitive division for Grades 4-5, the final standings were celebrated: Pandas in 4th place, Warriors in 3rd, Dragons in 2nd, and Tigers claiming the championship trophy. Beyond the trophies, what shone brightest was the sportsmanship, unity, and joyful participation that had warmed the cool day. This day will be remembered as a day when our UISG students truly embodied the spirit of running, jumping, playing, and shining together as one community, proving that even cool weather cannot dampen warm hearts and bright spirits.

2025年11月19日微凉的清晨，清风拂过UISG校园，却吹不散运动场上持续升温的热烈气氛。当朦胧晨光穿透云层，学生、老师和家长齐聚运动场，以昂扬斗志共同诠释“奔跑、跳跃、拼搏、绽放”的运动会主题。

运动会开场

启动仪式在多功能厅拉开帷幕，四大学院——Warriors、Pandas、Tigers、Dragons——的巡游队伍以蓬勃朝气点燃现场。小学部校长Chantelle Parsons女士发表鼓舞人心的致辞后，全体师生进行体育精神宣誓。随后，小学部学生代表带领全场进行活力四射的晨间热身操，驱散了户外凉意，点燃了运动激情。

赛场上，一至三年级的小选手们在弹力球竞速和面条接力赛中展现惊人活力，欢快笑声划破清冷空气。水球接力与高跷竞逐更彰显小小运动员的拼搏精神，每一次水花迸溅与坚定步伐都为微凉的早晨注入炽热能量。

四五年级的同学们则在平板支撑接力、气垫竞速与激动人心的沼泽球比赛中展现出精湛技巧与团队默契。各书院助威团此起彼伏的呐喊，将初冬的清冽化作友爱的暖流，深化着校园情谊。

亲子趣味赛环节中，家长、老师和学生默契协作，用温暖联结抵御凉意。水球传递与拔河较量生动诠释了UISG社群精诚合作的精神，每个参与者都在微寒天气中绽放耀眼光彩。

本次活动的顺利开展，离不开九年级学生的全情投入。他们承担赛事组织与协调工作，这既是体育健康教育课程中“教练与运动管理”单元的实践考核，也是“服务即行动”项目的生动体现。从场地布置到耐心引导低年级参赛者，他们用领导力与责任心为运动会增添温暖注脚。

颁奖典礼重回多功能厅，每张焕发光彩的脸庞都在诉说着真正收获。对一至三年级学生而言，珍贵的是参与乐趣与自我突破；在四五年级竞技单元，最终排名如下：熊猫书院第四名，勇士书院第三名，飞龙书院第二名，猛虎书院勇夺桂冠。但比奖杯更闪耀的，是贯穿始终的体育精神、团结意识与全情投入的快乐，这些温暖了整个微寒的冬日。

这个注定被铭记的日子，UISG学子用行动证明：当整个社群心手相牵奔跑跳跃时，再清冷的天气也冻结不了炽热的心，黯淡不了闪耀的灵魂。
