Dear Parents and Students
Welcome to the Session 2 Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) program at UISG. Here’s everything you need to know:
Program Overview
ECA program runs year-round in three 10-week sessions. Most activities take place once a week. The options include:
Student-Led Activities: Initiated and run by students, often linked to Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), or Service as Action.
Teacher-Led Activities: Led by UISG faculty, usually free of charge.
External Provider Activities: Delivered by outside coaches or providers, these require a fee as noted in the activity descriptions. (See ITP and External Provider tabs for details.)
Registration
All ECA sign-ups are done through School Buddy. Please click the Registration tab for a step-by-step guide to enrolling your child, or sign in to your School Buddy account if you are already familiar with the process
Schedule
ECAs run from Monday through Thursday. For detailed dates, please check the Dates tab. Click on each program to view the specific activities for Session 1
Fees and Billing
ECAs run by UISG teachers and students typically do not have a fee. However, activities offered by external providers do incur a fee. Please refer to the activity schedule on School Buddy for details.
Transportation

Late bus will be provided for any G3-12 normal bus riders leaving campus at 5:15pm on ECA days Tuesday and Thursday and all Athletics days

These ECA late bus routes are exclusively available on those specific days.

ECA transportation services on Tuesdays andThursdays will be provided on a first-come, firstserved basis, depending on the availability of the late bus routes.

SY25-26 ECA Program Dates
Our ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities) program runs throughout the year in three sessions, offering a wide range of activities to enrich student life. Below you’ll find all the key dates and details for the upcoming school year, including session timelines, sign-up information, and important non-ECA days.

Primary ECAs:

Mondays (mostly external providers): 3:30–5:00pm

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 3:30–5:00pm

Primary ECA
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
-
All courses require a minimum number of attendees to run. If an activity is cancelled due to instructor or teacher illness, parents will be notified and a refund or make up session will be issued.
-
No make-up lessons, credits or refunds will be issued if a student is absent from an ECA.
-
Cancellations: Each term has a 1-week grace period in which students may attend and cancel their registration. After the 1-week grace period each family will be billed for the entire session and no refunds will be permitted (exceptions to this include injury or other medical conditions that do not permit the student from attending).

In the event of school cancellation due to an unplanned or unexpected event all after school activities will also be cancelled. The ECA instructors will offer make up sessions upon availability.

If School is suspended for less than 1 week each ECA provider will have the option to offer ECA’s virtually, or schedule a make-up. For unplanned school closures under 1 week no refunds will be granted.

For any prolonged school closure, longer than 1 week, families will be refunded the balance of the missed lessons.

Students are subject to disciplinary action from UISG for behavior or conduct issues which can include suspension or removal from the ECA. Students who are removed from an ECA due to behavior or conduct issues are not subject to a refund.
Secondary ECA

INSTRUMENT TUITION PROGRAM (ITP)
The UISG Instrument Tuition Programme, delivered by carefully vetted and contracted expert teachers, offers personalized lessons to develop students’ skills. We are pleased to continue this enriching programme for the 2025-2026 year.

Instrument Tuition Programme (ITP) Fees
All fees are payable directly to the instrument teacher.

Registration
If your child is interested in instrument lessons, please complete one form per child using the link below or by scanning the QR code or Click to register.

Once enrolled, the instrument teacher will contact you directly to schedule lesson times based on the school timetable.
Absence Policy
• No charge will be applied if you inform the instrument teacher at least one day before the scheduled lesson that your child will be absent.
• Lessons missed due to your child’s participation in school trips or official school events will also not be charged.
• If a lesson is missed without prior notice, the full fee will be charged, and the teacher is not required to provide a make-up lesson.
Commitment
• Enrollment in the Instrument Tuition Programme requires a commitment for the full semester to ensure meaningful progress. Shorter
enrollment periods are not recommended.
• To discontinue lessons, a minimum of one month’s written notice is required
Student Progress
• To support steady improvement, we encourage students to practice for 30 minutes, five times per week.

EXTERNAL PROVIDERS
Registration
UISG partners with several organizations to provide exclusive after-school activity programs for our students. These paid courses are taught by leading experts in and around Guangzhou. Log in to your SchoolBuddy account to enroll in the program of your choice.








UISG uses SchoolsBuddy to register students for any Athletics. To enroll in any Athletics, download the SchoolsBuddy app and follow the instructions below.
Students (Y2-12) and Parents can register their children in a variety of Athletics through the SchoolsBuddy app.
