Hong Kong University & Alumni Gathering
On October 23rd, the college counselling departments at UISG and UISZ collaborated to successfully host an event inviting representatives and alumni from 6 universities from HKSAR and China. This event was a successful part of the ongoing university info sessions series, aiming to raise awareness in students about a range of higher education opportunities around the world, particularly in our most popular university region, HKSAR. UISG Alumni Talk – HKU Accounting & FinanceLast week, Justin Byun, an alumni of class of 2019 was invited to give a personal account of his experience applying to and studying at HKU. As he doubles as the academic advisor at the Business School, he had many valuable tips to share on writing the personal statement, choosing a major, and making the best of your university life. Thanks, Justin!UISG College Counseling department is partnering with Utahloy Alumni Association to link alumni and current students together. Stay tuned for more alumni talks like this in the future!Year 12 Preparation – Application Workshops, Personal Statement & CV feedbackIt’s a busy year for Year 12’s! In addition to all their classwork and extracurricular duties, they are busy preparing their applications for universities all around the world. But where can one learn about these different university applications?At UISG, senior students receive weekly application workshops about each region’s unique application system and effective strategies, delivered in a timely manner before the upcoming deadlines. They also receive unlimited opportunities to get detailed feedback on their personal statements. Encourage your student to take advantage of this opportunity!
