This past Saturday, the Chinese Department hosted a 1-day conference – the 2023 Frontier Chinese Language Conference – for Chinese teachers across the region in China. Over 170 educators attended along with 3 different publishers. The event was held at the Art Institute of the Orient, an inspirational setting for this event. We were fortunate to have very well-known speakers from across the region, especially, the famous Chinese poet Yang Ke, and famous drama education expert Liu Ming Gang from Beijing Normal University. At the day attendees expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn together once again and for the excellent sessions offered by the speakers.  

I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with a great team. So many people helped make this event a success.
