Our Year 1 students concluded their captivating exploration of “How We Express Ourselves” in a spectacular assembly this Friday. Showcasing their knowledge of signs and symbols, they presented stunning 2D and 3D cities, demonstrating their creativity and understanding to the entire school community. Highlighting their dedication to inclusivity, the students performed the sign language song “We Are a Family,” showcasing their grasp of basic sign language learned during the unit. Teachers and students from Year 2 to Year 6 were enthralled by the cities and engaged in lively discussions, eager to learn from the Year 1 students’ insights. This assembly was a testament to the students’ creativity, communication skills, and the collaborative spirit that defines our school community. Congratulations to Year 1 on a remarkable showcase, and a heartfelt thanks to the teachers for guiding their exploration !
