ECAs are where students discover new talents, deepen a passion and spend time with friends who share their interests. From robotics and chess to choir, cooking and community service, there is something for every student.
Activities run after school, and for Secondary students at lunchtime too. They are part of a well-rounded UISG education, alongside our Wolves Athletics program.

PRIMARY AND SECONDARY
The right fit at every age
Explore and create
Primary ECAs focus on exploration, creativity and fun in a non-competitive, inclusive setting. Students try new things, uncover their talents and discover what they enjoy.
Lead and serve
Secondary students choose from a wide range of staff-led, student-led and external provider activities, including service opportunities that make a positive difference in the wider community.
WHO LEADS OUR ECAS
Three kinds of activities
Teacher-led
Run by UISG teachers and staff. These activities are usually free of charge.
Student-led
Started and run by students, often linked to CAS in the Diploma Programme or Service as Action in the MYP.
External providers
Led by specialist coaches and instructors from outside UISG. These carry a fee, shown in each activity description.
HOW THE YEAR WORKS · 2026–27
Three sessions a year
Each session runs for about ten weeks, with most activities meeting once a week. An ECA Fair before each session helps students see what’s on offer.
August 31 – November 20
Sign-up August 10–22. ECA Fair August 13 (Secondary) and August 14 (Primary).
December 7 – March 11
Primary ends March 4. Sign-up November 9–24. ECA Fair November 19 (Secondary) and November 20 (Primary).
March 29 – June 3
Sign-up March 9–20. ECA Fair for Secondary.
Days and times

Getting home
A late bus leaves campus at 5:15 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Grade 3–12 students who normally ride the school bus. Places are first come, first served.

Register on SchoolsBuddy
All ECA sign-ups happen on SchoolsBuddy. Students can browse the activities, but a parent or guardian must confirm each registration from their own account before it is complete.
Fees for external provider activities are shown in SchoolsBuddy. Session dates, catalogs and terms and conditions are in the ECA family area.
