What an incredible week it has been! We were thrilled to come together as a community for our 2025 UISG Commencement Ceremony today. It was a truly special occasion, filled with pride, joy, and heartfelt farewells. A huge thank you to all the families who joined us to honor our graduates—your presence made the event even more memorable.
We wish our departing Wolves every success in their next chapter and hope they carry the spirit of UISG with them wherever they go.
As we reflect on this milestone, we’re also looking ahead to another action-packed week full of exciting events:
PYP Exhibition: Our PYP students have worked tirelessly on their exhibition projects, and we are eager to celebrate their learning next M-W in the ULC.
UPTA All Parents Meeting (Friday, 9:30 AM): An excellent opportunity to connect, celebrate updates, and discuss planning for next year. Please join us for this final meeting of the year in the ULC 9:30 am to 12:00 noon.
K to Y5 Production (Friday afternoon, MFH): Our entire EY & Primary students will take the stage for what promises to be a delightful showcase of creativity and talent.
It’s a busy time of year, but also one of the most rewarding as we celebrate the growth and accomplishments of our students. Let’s continue to support one another and make the most of these final weeks together.

What a fun and busy week it has been with the CIS visit, parent transition, Y12 graduation and lots of prep for the PYPX. As we enter the last few weeks of the school year, we have a lot of events coming up. I would like to wish the Year 5 students the best of luck with their Exhibition next week, and good luck to ALL students for their performance on Friday.
Art Auction
We are excited to announce a special initiative this year: UISG Artists for Charity! In this event, we are inviting our students to donate an artwork for a silent auction. All proceeds from this auction will go to the charity Hopeful Hearts. The artwork for Primary students will be displayed in this year’s EY/PYP Art Exhibition (details to follow).
Important Details:
Submission Deadline: Friday, May 30, 2025
Students interested in contributing their artwork should fill out the submission form for each piece they wish to donate. The form will require their name, year level, the class in which the artwork was created, a photo of the artwork, and a short description.
We would like your support as parents to share this opportunity and encourage your children to participate in this meaningful event. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Ms. Frederique or your child’s art teacher.
Art Exhibition
Art Exhibition will open on Tuesday June 10th at 3:45 PM in the ULC.
The Primary Art Department would like to personally invite you to join us in the opening of this event.
This year, we are excited to showcase artwork from every UISG student, including creations from UNC, EY, and Primary artists. Our students have been working tirelessly to celebrate their talents and creative journeys.

我们很高兴宣布今年启动特别企划——UISG艺术家慈善行动！本次活动将邀请学生捐赠艺术作品进行无声拍卖，所有收益将捐赠给慈善机构“希望之心”。小学部学生的作品将参展本年度EY/PYP艺术展（详情后续通知）。

作品提交截止日期：2025年5月30日（星期五）
有意捐赠作品的学生需为每件作品填写提交表，需提供姓名、年级、创作该作品的课程班级、作品照片及简短说明。

Dear ParentDear Parents and Guardians,
This week was one of impressive presentations by our students, with the Year 8 and Year 9 community project; and as one of celebration, with the Athletics Awards and the Summer Concert; andtopped off by it all with the Class of 2025 Graduation.Therewas even time in the week for sports fixtures, theatre performances, interactive art display, Year 11 exams, and our successful CIS virtual visit.
Graduation
As our top scholar Nayoung (Anna) Oh reflected, when she started at UISG the MFH wasn’t even built, and thereshe andher fellow graduates were, celebrating their Graduation in a beautifully decorated MFH. It was a fitting venue for this garland event. Congratulations to our graduates and their families.
Year 8 and 9 Community Projects
The MYP Community Project is one of the most valuable aspects of the MYP. It is a student-centered and collaborative initiative that encourages students to explore their rights and responsibilities within the community. Through investigation, planning, and action, students address a community need, develop skills in service learning, and reflect on their impact. The project fosters awareness, creativity, and social responsibility, and culminated with a presentation in the MFH to students, families and teachers. The students spoke knowledgeably and enthusiastically about the work they had done, and the impact they hoped to have.
Summer Concert
Packed into just 50 minutes, we had a choir, orchestral pieces, a jazz band, dancers, singers, and rock music. A superb showcase of just some of the pieces musicians have been working hard at over the whole year.

在短短 50 分钟内，我们欣赏到了合唱团的表演、管弦乐曲、爵士乐队的演奏、舞蹈、歌唱以及摇滚乐。这是一场精彩绝伦的演出，展示了音乐家们全年来辛勤创作的其中一些作品。
艺术拍卖
我们非常高兴地宣布今年的一项特别活动：UISG 艺术家慈善行动！在此次活动中，我们诚邀我们的学生将他们在 UISG 中创作的（无论是用于课程还是课外活动）作品捐赠出来，用于一场无声拍卖会。此次拍卖会所得的所有款项都将捐给慈善机构“希望之心”。
