UIS Grade 9 Takes On the Duke of Edinburgh Award | UIS学子以公爵奖历练成长

A cohort of dedicated Grade 9 students from Utahloy International School (UIS) had embarked on their training journey in the stunning landscapes of Huanghua, Guangzhou, as they undertake the Adventurous Journey section of the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.

Scheduled for October 31st to November 1st, 2025, this expedition is far more than a camping trip; it is a cornerstone of a globally recognized program designed to unlock the potential of young people. The Duke of Edinburgh’s (DofE) Award challenges students to step out of their comfort zones and develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

The Adventurous Journey is a powerful catalyst for personal development. Amidst the natural beauty of Huanghua, students will learn to navigate unfamiliar terrain, work as a team to set up camp, cook their own meals, and manage every aspect of their expedition.
