Swimming Starts This Week for Our EY Classes!
We are excited that PE swimming begins this week for all early years students.
EY Swimming Class

Why we love swimming for young learners:
- Water safety – A life-saving skill we start early
- Full-body health – Gentle on joints, big on strength and coordination
- Confidence & growth – Trying new things builds brave hearts

What you should know:
- No child is ever forced into the water
- Non-swimmers stay fully dressed, dry, and supervised
- Every child goes at their own pace — watching, splashing, or swimming

Our goal is simple:
To help every child feel safe, supported, and successful in and around water — exactly where they are. We cannot wait to see our Wolf Cubs grow through swimming this term.

Down on the Farm : A Day of Wonder and Discovery

Our Grade 1 field trip to the farm was a wonderful culmination of our learning about plants, living things, habitats, pollination, and life cycles. Students had the opportunity to connect their classroom learning to the real world through many exciting hands-on experiences. They fed farm animals such as rabbits, chicks, and ducklings, picked fresh blueberries, pulled sweet potatoes from the ground, planted seeds, and painted kites. The day was filled with curiosity, laughter, and exploration, and everyone enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch together. It was truly a memorable and meaningful field trip for all!

Grade 4 Feel the Force of Nature
Today, Grade 4 students visited the Guangzhou Emergency Response & Safety Experience Centre as part of their “Where We Are in Place and Time” unit.
Grade 4

In the classroom, students have learnt about the causes of natural disasters and how to prepare and respond to them. Today’s field trip allowed them to gain firsthand experience of the power of mother nature through hands-on simulations of earthquakes, typhoons, floods, and fires.

Experiencing these natural phenomena in a safe, controlled environment helped students truly understand how serious and dangerous natural disasters can be. Each class was led around the center by an experienced and knowledgeable guide who explained the cause and effect of each of the Earth’s rapid changes. They also shared safety tips with students; in case they ever find themselves experiencing such events in real life.

Beyond the practical safety training, the field trip helped students become more knowledgeable, principled, and confident risk-takers. They developed stronger self-management and thinking skills, growing more resilient and prepared to respond effectively in real emergencies.

Star Wars Week Craft Event– May 2026
Star Wars Day, celebrated annually on May 4th, is a global fan‑driven event that grew organically from a shared love of the Star Wars universe. Often described as a grassroots cultural phenomenon, the day brings together fans of all ages to celebrate creativity, imagination, and community.

As part of a Star Wars Week celebration, students participated in a themed craft event (hosted by Ms. Lazareck, BB8, R2D2, and Grogu!) that encouraged hands‑on creativity and collaboration. Inspired by the enduring cultural impact of Star Wars—now spanning nearly five decades and multiple generations—students crafted themed snowflakes and coloured based on the Star Wars characters, symbols, and ideas from the saga.

The session provided a relaxed and inclusive space for students to share ideas, work together, and express themselves creatively. Laughter, focus, and enthusiasm filled the room as the Force truly came alive through art and ambient music from the TV and Film series, adding to the festive atmosphere of the week and highlighting how shared stories can connect learners across ages and interests. “May the Force be with you” this May fourth!
