I am excited for our secondary students as they prepare for their camp experience at Pak Lap and Yingde starting Monday!
This annual event allows students to navigate challenges, collaborate with peers, and think critically through outdoor adventures and team-building exercises. It enhances their problem-solving skills while building confidence and a sense of belonging.
Let’s support our students as they embrace this adventure, and I look forward to hearing about their experiences upon their return. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Wow, what a week! Not only do these weeks fly by but they are packed with so much good stuff. This week we had the Welcome Picnic, lots of Mid-Autumn celebrations, mooncakes galore, a holiday AND International Peace Day, plus all the learning in between.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
It was great to see so many Secondary students and parents at the Welcome Picnic last Saturday. It was particularly impressive to see them performing on stage as well as running different booths.
The Secondary String Ensemble
Next week is one of the highlights of the calendar – it is Camps week! Years 6 and 7 will be away in Yingde, and Years 8-10 will be away in Pak Lap, Hong Kong. Not only that, but Year 11 and 12 students have two trips next week as well. On Monday there is a Design / Business / Economics trip to the Volkswagen factory; and on Friday there is a trip to visit Hong Kong Universities. These experiential trips add an important extra element to the learning experience of our students.
Parent Sessions
We have regular parent information sessions throughout the year.
New this year, we are adding in a monthly “Coffee Morning” which is a more informal opportunity to connect with the Secondary school. These are not for individual student discussions. Each of the Coffee Mornings will have a focus element, as well as a time for a chat and discussion of general matters in the Secondary school. The first Coffee Morning, on Friday September 27th, will focus on Design.

中学弦乐合奏
下周是日历上的亮点之一——这是Camp周！6-7年级将在英德，8-10年级将在香港白腊。不仅如此，11年级和12年级的学生下周也有两次出行。周一有一个设计/商业/经济的大众汽车工厂之旅；星期五有一个参观香港大学之旅。这些体验式研学之旅为学生的学习体验增添了重要的额外元素。
家长信息会
我们全年都有定期的家长信息会议。
今年，我们增加了每月一次的“咖啡早晨”，这是一个与中学联系的非正式机会。这些不是用来讨论单个学生的。每个咖啡早晨都将有一个重点元素，以及一个聊天和讨论中学一般事务的时间。
9月27日(周五)的第一个咖啡早晨将专注于设计。
